Inter-School Sports
There are two levels of sporting competition – Intra School House Competition and Interschool Sports Program.
This allows all students to take part in an active sports program whilst also allowing those of the highest skills and abilities to represent the College against the best from other schools.
Interschool Sports Program at Cedar Campus
Cedar Campus is a member of the School Sports Victoria
(SSV) Coburg District sporting competition. As part of this competition
the Year 4 to 6 students who excel at athletics and cross country are given
the opportunity to represent the college against other schools in the Coburg
District. Students who perform strongly on these carnival days are then
provided with further opportunities to compete at regional and state levels.
As part of the SSV Coburg District competition the Year 6
students take part in a term two winter sports competition. This involves all
Year 6 students electing to represent the college in one of the following
sports:
- Netball
- Soccer
- AFL
Students take part in a five-week
fixtured competition. Teams that win their division are provided with
opportunities to go on and compete at regional and state levels.
Intra School House Competition
In addition to the interschool sports program Cedar Campus runs an annual:
- House Athletics Carnival (Foundation - Year 6)
- Swimming Carnival (Year 5 to 8 students)
- Swimming Program (Foundation to Year 6 students take part in an intensive swimming program during Term 4)
