As of mid 2023, here at Antonine Sisters Childcare Centre we began networking very closely with our primary school, Antonine College. The children and staff have met on various occasions, and each one being beneficial for the children’s learning in its own way.

We have crossed paths for:

• The visit of our blessed Relics and the Kindergarten children sat front row for the blessing.
• Book week – Room 4 and 3 children were invited to the school to read a book, and they also created the main character (which was a frog)
• Later in November, we had transition sessions and here was when the children transitioning to school, were able to sit and play with Antonine College’s current Foundation year level
• Throughout Term Four, the children have had their own orientation sessions, where they are meeting the Foundation teachers and becoming familiar with their new environment.

The children have loved each experience that involved Antonine College, from going on the bus to seeing the ‘big school’, I know they will also enjoy all the years that they are going to spend there. Networking with Antonine College has been a great benefit for the children who will be attending primary school and this is due to the exposure of what the school provides. From educators and teachers working together, to sharing information and supporting each other about the children, it has been a great experience connecting together. They have left us feeling inspired and supported, and we cannot wait to see where this networking journey takes us.
