On the 20th of November the Year 5 students headed off into the city to visit both the State Library of Victoria and the studios of Student Youth Network SYN Media at RMIT. (SYN) is one of the oldest and largest youth-led community radio stations in the country.
It was in the studios of SYN radio where students were given the opportunity to produce a podcast episode on their chosen topic. Students experienced the use of live recording microphones in an enclosed soundproof studio.
In addition, the year 5 cohort also had the opportunity to visit the State Library of Victoria. On the tour of the library, students discovered the fascinating history of the library and explored some of the many iconic spaces it has on show.
