JD sports with the Year 10 was a perfect fit.

This was a timely presentation and workshop as the students had completed a whole unit on resume, job search and cover letter to prepare for interviews (scheduled in October).

The students were focused, related to the job related terms and received the valuable employer perspective from the presenters who were relevant, engaging and demonstrated their different pathways.

It made the students think and act on what they could improve. Thankfully our space could also accommodate the workshops and student’s presentations which put the students to task.

Students were also able to apply for jobs with JD Sports.

The students and staff were very appreciative of the information.

Nearly all the students study accounting at School and many of the year 12 are keen to pursue Accounting in their future study plans

Apprenticeships interviews with MEGT

As students plan their pathways beyond school they had individual meetings with an apprenticeship support person who discussed their interests and provided relevant information to prepare for pre apprenticeships, what to expect an how to apply for work.
