A highlight of the Year 10 schooling year is always our Year 10 dance. As part of our Pastoral Care subject students in Year 10 engage in a 6-week unit on ‘Respectful Relationships’. Students engage in a range of theory components with this unit of work to deep dive into what it means to have positive respectful relationships and explore the rights and responsibilities of individuals in relationships including a visit from the Victorian Police. As a part of the unit of work, all Year 10 students participated in dance lessons during pastoral care classes. These dances where choreographed and taught by staff at the college which incorporated dance genres such as ballroom, jazz and salsa.
I thank all students for a very successful afternoon and staff involved with the special day in particular Helen Diab, Indira Natoli, Caitlin McAleece, Caleb MacDonald, Jessica Healey and Jack Kirkman.
