Year 7 and 8 STEM students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills by designing enrichments for Melbourne Zoo animals. These enrichments aim to enhance animals' mental and physical well-being, promoting natural behaviours and sensory engagement. Students will research, gather insights, and create prototypes to test their ideas, fostering scientific observation, engineering, and problem-solving skills. This project highlights zoo animal adaptations, classification, and the role of STEM in supporting animal survival and welfare.
