Year 8 Food Technology

In an exciting exploration of culinary arts, Year 8 students in the Food Technology class have been honing their cooking skills in the school's newly renovated kitchen facilities. Recently, they prepared delicious Spaghetti Bolognese and scrumptious Apple Crumble, learning essential techniques and recipes. The hands-on experience allowed students to practice important skills, from ingredient preparation to cooking and cleaning. Emphasising kitchen safety and hygiene, the class fostered teamwork and creativity, inspiring a passion for cooking. This initiative not only enhances their culinary knowledge but also encourages a lifelong appreciation for healthy and enjoyable food preparation.


The students also were lucky enough to prepare food for the Arts Exhibition where they made, Chocolate, Cherry Ripe and Peppermint Slices. All the slices were Gluten Free as the students focus on catering for a wide range of dietary requirements. Students presented their food at the Art Show, where the slices were a big hit!
